Faith!

Faith

Faith is something which we inculcate…Faith in friends, in colleagues, in relatives, even in God for that matter….! But there is only one faith that comes along with us to the earth in our heart and soul…Faith in our Parents….

My parents are the besssssttest parents…how many of us have told this when we were kids to other friends to boast off…and seen jealous faces…and some yelling back that No! Mine are bessssssssssstest with the stress on ‘s’! and almost all of us meant it to then…..we were innocent and got satisfied with whatever they gave us and had the faith and trust in them that they meant no harm or malice against us… but how many of us after becoming mature adults who can understand our parents better still say that….? Sad to say but no…

You may argue that it was the faith we had when we were children was blind faith with no reasoning or understanding…but no…that’s not blind faith…its pure faith…it is the faith we have in God! When he tests us we fight with him…ask him questions…tell him that he is nothing to us anymore and that we will never talk ( pray) to him…but don’t we go back to him when we are in trouble again and ask for help and mercy…it’s the faith as strong as the Rock of Gibraltar…un-shattered by any force which we have in him…that’s Pure Faith…which is something we must have on our parents and yes vice – versa too….dont worry.. i’m not talking one sided! After all I’m a youngster too…but am just trying to reason out to the senseless ( at times…come on let accept it… ) & endless arguments we have…

There is a term which everyone use as an answer to the question above- Generation Gap….ok fine…but what are we doing about it…? And moreover I don’t think its Generation Gap…our parents obeyed our grand parents without having arguments and they are still happy…of course it was due to fear.. but now nor do we have the fear to talk to them or lack of words which we spit like fire at them…have we given a thought as to from where we got that freedom from.. its surely not earned…its because of them being like friends with us….don’t you think so?

They have… atleast most of them have accepted the fact that since we have more exposure of the outer world we know much more than they do and have given us the freedom to talk and question them…they know that we wont and cant accept what they say ‘blindly’….but do we return the respect? Sometime yes and sometimes no…we tend to take them for granted… I think there lies the problem…they will listen to whatever we say! We do have that attitude most of the times…and most of the times we tend to regret it later as to why we said that…and ask for pardon…but what is told is told…from both sides…we cannot collect them back…we need to control our anger…respect the relationship we are in…and know to whom we are talking… and most importantly try analyzing whether we need to use such strong words to make our point…thus…think before you talk…may be difficult….even I find it difficult but I’m trying to change…and it works…I haven’t fought with my dad for over ten days!!!!!!! What an achievement…;D…both of us were laughing over this achievement yester over dinner! ;D…..

And also we need to express our love and affection repeatedly..even in this relationship..in this fast moving world we hardly get time to express ourselves which starts bringing a gap between the people…finally we will become intimate strangers living together…When did you last sit together and have fun and spoke openly and in a friendly way...take time off…express your love to them…assure them that you are always there for them…and respect them…and see a change in their behaviour too! Best time is dinner…try sitting together without any distractions like the black idiot box or the ever yapping and singing radio…have time off to talk and discuss casual and light topics…not troublesome family problems or something that with trigger anger…drift away from such topics…have fun.. laugh…get to know each other to the core and express yourself!

Hope I haven’t given you a feeling that I have spoken one sided…i can try talking from only our side of mistakes…I am no one to point out the mistakes of the parents in general…. have that Pure Faith in them…. and lets take the first step to change!.... So…….. Happy Dinner and a Joyous Family Time!

Fond Memories! i love my friends!

THE BLOSSOMS GIRL! ;D

Reflections

by Kimberly Anderson

I've seen you before
I've seen your smile
I've felt your tears
I've known your joys
and known your fears
Always beside me, never apart,
Always you, were inside my heart
We've experienced rough times and
celebrated the good
But, always each other, we've understood
We've stuck by one another all these years
but yet your just,
A refection in my mirror.

Hi Folks!

So here i am to share my thoughts and and listen to your views on that.. they are all just reflections of our mind, heart & soul!

There are so many things that may be bothering us or on the contrary someone or something might have made our day completely fabulous...but even though we would have wanted to share it with someone ( esp. sadness ),we might not have had anyone to share it with...our mind gets clouded with our own thoughts and feeling and starts to refuse to accept and understand others' feelings...it sometimes makes us extremely closed to new inputs and experiences...and we end up drawing a circle around ourselves and make ourselves rigid with our thoughts and behaviour...I Quote from a passage which i read on the net.."The mind is its own place, and in itself Can make a heaven of hell, a hell of heaven." For Keats, the concern was to avoid rigidity of thought: "The only means of strengthening one's intellect is to make up one's mind about nothing--to let the mind be a thoroughfare for all thoughts. Not a select party." unquote...

Many fear of expressing their failures and problems to others not wanting to embarrass themselves...but when we do open up to our loved ones and others we get varied solutions to the same problem..we get to see different dimensions of the same problem...

It is my strong opinion which i have built over these year that one must have the attitude to LISTEN to others and their opinions even though they oppose ours...it helps us get an insight of the person, their depth of knowledge i that subject and also our own knowledge levels....which will help us improve our thirst for knowledge and help us grow successful in all our endeavours...

So here we start this fun filled journey of sharing our thoughts and views..sometimes it could productive and sometimes crappy ( just for fun! )...

Till now i was reflecting my thoughts to myself...but from now on i would share my thoughts and views on things I/We experience day to day and would surely want to here your views on that too...I am sure it is gonna be an exciting and enriching journey where we can discuss problems..find solutions..gossip ;D...and make our friendship stronger and longer!
